Pastor Andrew Zamora
Thank You, Jesus! I am Andrew Zamora and my wife is Edna. We have the privilege of serving the church in Silver City, New Mexico. God’s Spirit is moving in a powerful way here!
It has been a wild nine-month ride. In August 2010, the Mammoth church brought an impact team, band and drama team for an outdoor concert. In September, Chayo Perez came from Albuquerque with a rap group and invasion team for an outdoor concert. Many were saved in both outreaches. Bill Conrad and his wife came in October and the church rose up to put on The Judgment play at Halloween. Many responded to the altar calls.
In November we entered a float in the Parade of Lights. Our float didn’t place for an award, but even better, it was on the front page of the Silver City Press! In the first week of December, Pastor Richard Rubi preached a four-night revival, and we were greatly blessed.
We had a Valentine’s dinner and marriage seminar in February 2011, along with another invasion team and band from Las Cruces, New Mexico. In March, Pastor Keith Mickens from Albuquerque came and preached a men’s class on a Saturday morning, sang a rap concert on Saturday night and preached on Sunday. It was a great time.
We are now at the end of April, and what a month that was! First, we had a weekend revival with Larry Beauregard. He really encouraged the church to practice simple faith in God. We had a tremendous impact team from El Paso the following Saturday with 40-50 visitors and ten people responding to the invitation.
Easter Sunday we celebrated the resurrection of our Lord. Then on Monday we began a surprise five-night revival with Evangelist Marty Carnegie. People were saved almost every night and the church was greatly stirred by the gifted and anointed preaching of brother Marty.
We are very excited about what is going on in Silver City. There is something happening here that is beyond human orchestration. We can really sense the hand of God in this. We feel His favor; His blessing; His provision and of course His love.
Thank you for all your prayers for this church. Pastor Jesus Vizzerra and his wife Frances accomplished a great work in the short time they were here. Best of all is the group of people in this church that has endured the trials of life and yet remain faithful to Jesus and to His ministry. We are blessed and privileged to serve with them. Please keep praying for us.
P. S. The picture is Frank Baca, who recently went to be with Jesus. Part of “The Greatest Generation,” a turret gunner in a B-17 Flying Fortress, he was shot down over Germany on his 21st birthday during his final mission in WWII. He passed away 25 years to the day after he was saved. We miss him but we know we will see him again soon.
