“But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord” (II Corinthians 3:18).
In Colorado it has been a year of change and a time of intense renewal and transformation.
In October Pastor Anthony Trujillo moved on to assist Pastor Ray Rubi in our mother church in Las Vegas, New Mexico. Fresh off the foreign field in Panama, Pastor Case and his family came and took over the responsibility for our congregation here in Lakewood, bringing with him a world vision that was desperately needed. In true missionary fashion he has inspired us to see beyond the four walls of the church.
We are now offering bilingual services and are partnering with one of our Spanish-speaking fellowship churches in South Lakewood.
Evangelist Jerry Fussell brought us a tremendous revival in October. It was not only a time of great victory, but a call to duty as well, as he spoke of the importance of personal evangelism at this midnight hour.
After spending many years on the mission field, Pastor Ed Brooke and his family came all the way from Poland to minister to us in February. In addition to the preaching of the Word, the Brooke family ministered through reggae and rap music inspired by immigrant families from their church in Poland. Again we found our hearts encouraged as we looked out into the mission field.
God has brought enough young people to our church to form a youth group once again. We’re excited to see the development in these teens, and look forward to what God is going to do in this next generation.
A fresh wave of visitors is coming into our services and God is faithfully raising up men, women, and new ministries. Musicians have been contending for the privilege of ministering in song service and music scenes. We continue to host monthly area-wide discipleship meetings for men, and couples are showing a renewed desire to be discipled. The drama ministry is flourishing and our band, rap group and drama team have had the privilege of ministering in other area churches as well as in our own concert scenes.
We are pressing on in the things of God, and remain faithful during this time of growth and maturity in our lives, excited for what God has done and what He will continue to do as He transforms us from glory to glory.
We thank Pastor Rubi and the Las Vegas congregation for their prayers and support. We covet your prayers, not only for our church, but for a spirit of revival in the great state of Colorado.
